Image
CAMEL AND THE JACKAL "Once upon a time there lived a camel and a jackal together in a forest. There was a river nearby the forest. On the other side of the river, there were sugarcane fields. One day morning the jackal came to the camel and asked to cross the river and enjoy the sugarcane. The camel agrees with the jackal. But the jackal did not know how to swim, so he requested the camel to carry him on his back. The camel agreed to the jackal’s request. They set out for the river and soon reached its bank. The camel carried the jackal on his back and crossed the river. On reaching the other side, they began to eat the sugarcane. The jackal was satisfied with his food because he was very small but the camel was yet hungry. The jackal began to howl loudly after food. THE THIRSTY CROW

THE THIRSTY CROW "There lived a crow in a dense forest. It was a hot summer day. There was no water in the forest. The crow was feeling very thirsty. He flew from place to place in search of water, but he could not find it anywhere. He was very sad and disappointed at not getting a drop of it. At last, he saw a pot. He flew down to the pot and sat on its edge. When he craned his beak to quench his thirst, he saw that water was just at the bottom. His beak could not reach such a low level of water. He even tried to overturn the pot but he was unable to do that. It was too heavy for him to move. When he was just about to fly in despair, he thought of a plan. Suddenly his eyes fell upon some pebbles lying near the pot. He flew to them, picked up the pebbles one by one and dropped them into the pot. He did it continuously. Slowly and slowly the level of water rose and came up to the neck. The crow was overjoyed to see this. He dipped his beak, quenched his thirst and flew ...

One day, the mother crab left her baby in the corner of the pond and went to search for food. http://allstories1980.blogspot.com The baby crab that day grew disgusted with the sands in which he lived. He decided to take a walk to the meadow not far from the pond. There he would find better fare than salty water and sand mites. So off he crawled to the meadow. But there was a fox who felt hungry. He roamed here and there in search of food but could not find anything to eat. To take some water it reached near to the pond. When it saw a baby crab roaming there his mouth began to water and started thinking about the crab’s meat. The fox catches the baby crab. The baby crab requested to the fox please leave me I am very small. If you eat me it will not fulfill your hunger. I will call my friends so you can eat all of us. The fox agreed with the crab’s idea and released him. In a...
